Obituary for Kamra Jean Salisbury

Kamra Jean Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was 55 years old.

Kamra was born on September 27, 1960 in Blackwell to Claude and Charlene "Kay" (Ricketts) Scott. Growing up, she attended Huston Elementary, Blackwell Junior High, and graduated from Blackwell High School as part of the class of 1978. During high school, Kamra worked at Tasty Freeze and Shepherd's Convenience Store in Blackwell and was a member in the band as well as a flag girl. She also attended Northern Oklahoma College after high school. Kamra enjoyed bowling and playing golf. For one year, she was the president of both the women's bowling league and Blackwell women's golf association. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Kamra was an adventurous person and always had fun going to Colorado with her family, skiing, hiking and camping. She was generous with her family and friends and always had a gift to give on birthdays and any other special occasion. Kamra loved taking her children and grandson to any school event and volunteering to help with school projects. She was always the loudest one cheering them on!

She is survived by her parents, her children, Camron "Shane" Parker and wife, Kristen, Falisha Garroutte and husband Kelly, step-daughter, Nicole Parker and companion James Clonts, and Joshua Salisbury, brothers, Max Scott and wife Jacque and Garth Scott and companion Beverly Gordon, grandchildren, Brendan David Garroutte and Kreed Garroutte, uncle, Terry Ricketts and wife Ruby, aunts, Linda Kittrell and husband Chuck, Linda Ricketts, Jennie Snow and husband Reece, nephews, Derick Scott and wife Jessica, Tyler Scott, Reece Jr. Snow, Ethan Snow, niece, Morgan Scott, special friends, Linda Rhea and Jennie Minachi and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Max Ricketts, Alta Ladyne Ricketts, E.E. Scott and Hattie Scott, step-grandmother, Phillis Ricketts, and her uncle, James Ricketts.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial celebration and lunch on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Top of Oklahoma Historical Society Museum located at 303 South Main Street in Blackwell, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kamra's honor to Relay for Life, 4110 S 100th E Ave, Grant Building, Ste 101, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74146 or by visiting their website relay.acsevents.org.
